Kenny Perry took up golf at age seven with the encouragement of his father. He went on to become a top college player and is a member of both Western Kentucky University and the Kentucky Golf Halls of Fame.
In 2002, he won the Charles Bartlett Award, given annually to a professional golfer for his unselfish contributions to the betterment of society by the Golf Writers Association of America. Perry also personally helped finance an affordable public course in his hometown of Franklin, Kentucky.
Kenny is a 14-time winner on the PGA TOUR, as well as a member of the 2008 championship U.S. Ryder Cup Team. He is currently nominated for induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
